Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging

Heartland Spine and Specialty Hospital has made significant investments in cutting-edge diagnostic technologies within our fully-digital Imaging Center. We focus on developing and refining special areas of radiology expertise such as MRI, CT, Myelography, Arthrography, X-ray, Angiography, and Ultrasound. Results are provided on disk and/or film, and reports are available within 24 hours.

MRI and CT Scans

All of our MRI scans are performed on the area's only state-of-the-art MRI equipment. The 3.0 TESLA MRI equipment is the strongest whole-body magnet available in the Midwest area. This technology makes the scan more comfortable for the patient. It also provides ultra-high resolutions images that gives physicians and patients the most precise diagnosis as quickly as possible. More importantly they receive scan results that help advise the best course of care that restores health and lengthens life.

The department offers a 16-slice CT scanner that provides highly-detailed, ultra-thin images within seconds. The CT is an exceedingly effective tool to detect illness early, leading to a wider range of treatment options.

Myelography / Angiography

Our Special Procedures Laboratory is focused on Myelography and Angiography (x-rays of the spine and joints). Our unique combination of state-of-the-art equipment, highly trained staff and leading physicians creates a remarkable level of clinical quality and patient comfort.

Ultrasound

Our ultrasound department provides comprehensive services including:

  • Abdominal Imaging
  • Abdominal Duplex (renal duplex, aorta-iliacs, hepatics, SMA/Celiac, TIPS Shunt Monitoring)
  • Carotid/Vertebral Duplex
  • Upper & Lower Extremity Venous Duplex
  • Venous Incompetency Testing
  • Upper & Lower Extremity Arterial Duplex
  • Arterial and Stent Graft Evaluations
  • Superficial and Small Parts (thyroid, scrotal & soft tissue)
