Surgical Care
Our dedication to patient comfort and privacy can be seen in our surgery department.
Each pre-operative area room is private, allowing a higher level of confidentiality for our patients when talking with physicians and nurses as they prepare for surgery. Each room is also equipped with a small, flat-panel television, provided to help lessen patient anxiety prior to surgery.
Our seven operating suites are designed and equipped with both physicians and patients in mind, offering generous space for surgeons and staff to move efficiently. Every effort is made to ensure that cases start at the scheduled time and rooms are sanitized and turned over quickly and efficiently between cases. (Average turnover time is 15 minutes.)
All surgery equipment is state-of-the-art and each suite employs a unique air curtain system to improve the sterile field during surgery. Each room has a dedicated fluoroscopy unit (C-arm) eliminating equipment delays and reducing potential for cross-contamination between rooms. These unique features allow us to achieve infection rates of less than one-tenth the current US hospital average.
